ITG Group orders two PX121 PSVs from ULSTEINVessel & ROV News // August 14, 2013
Ulstein Group in Norway says the ROC shipyard in China is to build two of ULSTEINís PX121 PSV designs for ITG Group. The contract includes an option for two more vessels.
The ships will have a length of 83.4m and a beam of 18m and meet the requirements of DNVís Clean Design notation. They will have a deadweight of approximately 4,000 tonnes and a cargo deck of 840 square metres. Their maximum speed will be 14.5 knots.
This version of the medium-sized PX121 accommodates a total of 30 persons. The vessels will be prepared for an ROV mezzanine deck and a subsea crane for future installation. They will be built in accordance to IMOís SPS Code (Special Purpose Ships) and will have OILREC class notation.
The vessels are planned for the European market and are suitable for worldwide operation. They are due for delivery in the first half of 2015.
