Gulf Offshore in the UK is gearing up for an increase in tonnage this year with a number of new PSVs set to hit the water before the start of 2014.

The first unit, Highland Defender, was due in Aberdeen July 10th. Next in the series will be Highland Chieftain, followed by Highland Guardian, Highland Knight, and then Highland Princess, which is due around February 2014.

As broker Westshore reported recently, the Norwegian arm of Gulf Oshore is expecting delivery of two further PSVs of ST216 design with Arctic capability. The owner was due to take delivery of the first of these, North Pomor, at the end of July; the second, North Cruys, is due around November.
