    COSL adds two new PSVs to its fleet

    China Oilfield Services Limited (COSL) has recently acquired two newly-constructed platform supply vessels (PSVs).

    Built by Xiamen Shipbuilding Industry Co Ltd, the two vessels are of the KCM75M design and have an overall length of 75m, deck area of 700m2, and 6,000 horsepower. Equipped with a DP2 dynamic positioning capability, each vessel is able to carry fuel, drilling fluids, fresh water and bulk materials, and has firefighting and oil recovery capability.

    One of the vessels has completed construction and been delivered; the other vessel is scheduled for delivery by the end of August. Both are expected to commence operations in the fourth quarter of 2013.
