Skipsteknisj has secured contracts for a number of vessels from China.
Skipsteknisk in Norway has been awarded design contracts for four newbuildings by China Oilfield Services Limited(COSL).
The contracts includes two offshore construction vessels of ST-259 design with a length of of 125m, a seismic research vessel of ST-318 design with length of 80m, and a seismic source vessel of ST-315 design with length of 65m.
The contracts includes project development, conceptual and basic design. Detailed design and construction of the vessels will take place in China.
Skipsteknisk has now signed contracts for seven specialized offshore vessels for Chinese clients in total, including contracts for five vessels this year.

China Oilfield Services Ltd is a daughter company of China National Offshore Oil Corporation and has become an important client for Skipsteknisk. COSL is one of the key players in the Chinese offshore market and the co-operation between our companies has been very good, not at least due to our presence in Shanghai. Skipsteknisk will continue it’s operation in China and with the new contracts confirmed we expect increased interest for our ST-designs," said Hans Ove Holmoy, Managing Director of Skipstenisk.
