    News // April 12, 2013

Chart Shipping reports that Statoil is fully covered for rig capacity for all their global operations for the next two years.

"On the Africa front, Statoil has taken the drillship Stena Carron for their Angola campaign commencing towards the end of the year," said Chart Shipping.

"In a US$700 million deal with owner Stena Drilling, the Norwegian State oil company
has fixed the ultra-deepwater drillship for 3 years firm in the region of US$639,000 a day with two x one year options attached.

"Statoil will also send its chartered drillship Discoverer Americas to drill three or four wells in its East Africa assets both in Tanzania and Mozambique," the broker said.
