Namegiving ceremony held for VOS Sweet

    Vessel & ROV News // February 25, 2013

A naming ceremony was held earlier this month at Oranjewerf Shipyard in Amsterdam for VOS, a new subsea vessel for Vroon Offshore.

Built at Fujian Southeast Shipyard of China, VOS Sweet is a DP2 and 4-point mooring subsea support vessel (SSV). She is a sister vessel to VOS Shine with enhanced DP specification and will be followed by a further, slightly larger newbuilding SSV, to be named VOS Sugar, in 2015.

Following her arrival in Europe in January, VOS Sweet has undergone final outfitting work and installation of her crane at Oranjewerf Shipyard. The vessel is now ready to commence operations in the European market, under the management of Den-Helder-based Vroon Offshore Services BV.
