    Kulluk rig safely anchored

    The Unified Command responsiblew for the salvage of the drilling rig Kulluk has confirmed that rig has arrived at its final safe harbour location in Kiliuda Bay, where it will undergo assessment.

    The Unified Command also confirmed that the support vessels Alert, Lauren Foss and Corbin Foss remain connected to the Kulluk. Aiviq has disconnected from the Kulluk but is standing by.

    A Coast Guard overflight did not observe any sheen in the vicinity of the rig.

    Warrior, Ocean Wave, Perseverance, Nanuq and Alex Haley are standing by.
