    Kulluk aground off Alaska

    The US Coast Guard has confirmed that Kulluk, Shell's drilling unit, ran aground off Alaska on Monday night after drifting in stormy weather.

    Kulluk reportedly broke away from one of its tow lines and was driven to rocks off Kodiak Island, where it grounded. The crew had been evacuated by the Coast Guard.
