Leighton Offshore, in consortium with Boskalis Offshore, has been awarded a transportation, installation and dredging contract by Shell Eastern Petroleum (Pte) Ltd to replace part of the Single Point Mooring (SPM) 48in subsea pipeline.

The project is located near Bukom Island, Singapore and is part of Shell’s planned maintenance programme.

Work will commence immediately on engineering, planning and procurement. The project scope includes cleaning of the existing SPM Buoy, PLEM, Hoses and pipeline; transportation and removal; dredging; and installation.

The project will be delivered while adhering to stringent safety standards and environmental considerations.

“Leighton and Boskalis have strong track records in offshore installation, maintenance and dredging works in Asia, and we look forward to working with Shell to deliver this project and build on a successful track record”, said the companies.
