Investors fast-track Sparrows global growth

Aberdeen headquartered Sparrows has announced a major investment deal which will see the company’s management and funds being advised by AEA Investors LP.
The investment by the international private equity firm will enable the company, which specialises in offshore lifting and mechanical handling services, to exploit current and future opportunities with funds available for acquisitions and organic growth and will help the company fast track its global expansion strategy.
Established in 1973, Sparrows employs 1,750 people in 19 locations globally and provides oilfield engineering services, including offshore lifting, crane engineering and services, mechanical handling, pipe and cable lay systems, fluid power engineering, equipment rentals and competence training.
