Malaysia: Alam Maritime secures contract for pipelay barge

The Board of Directors of Alam Maritim Resources Berhad in Malaysia have announced that its jointly controlled entity, Alam Swiber DLB (L) Inc, has entered into a charter party agreement with Newcruz Offshore Marine Pte Ltd for the charter of a pipelay barge identified as 1MAS-300.
The contract, valued at approximately RM18.00 million, is for a firm charter period of 175 days. The contract was expected to commence by the third week of October 2012.
