Ocean Sub Sea Services acquires Helix Intrepid

Ocean Sub Sea Services has acquired the 117m2 x 32m2 Helix Intrepid, a DP-2 multipurpose construction Vessel (MPCV) from Helix Energy Solutions Group.
Renamed Ocean Intrepid, the vessel will perform offshore subsea and topside construction primarily in the Gulf of Mexico.
“We’re excited about the Ocean Intrepid because she has a 1,650m2 work platform with a 400 tonne crane, 91m2 working moonpool, and will have increased accommodations level,” said Dave Fleming, Executive Vice President of Ocean Sub Sea Services.
“This MPCV will be extremely cost effective for offshore projects, and we have multiple interests in her services. The MPSV Ocean Intrepid is a welcome addition to our fleet.”
Ocean Sub Sea Services (OS/3) is a wholly owned subsidiary of Stabbert Maritime.
Other Stabbert Maritime businesses include Ocean Services, which operates a global fleet of DP research vessels and offshore support vessels supporting oil and gas projects.
