Metalships to build pipelayer for McDermott

Metalships shipyard in Spain has been contracted by JR McDermott to build a new pipelaying vessel, this being the third vessel that the yard will have built for the company.
The new unit will be a near sister ship to North Ocean 105, which was delivered by Metalships to McDermott in April 2012.
The new pipelayer is due to be delivered in the third quarter of 2014.
Metalships is also building a new ROV/OCV vessel for Technip, which is to be delivered in the first quarter of 2013.
The new vessel for MdcDermott will be North Ocean 108.
