Electromagnetic Geoservices (EMGS) has signed a contract worth approximately US$7 million with a major international oil company to provide 3D EM acquisition and processing services in the Asia Pacific region.
Data acquisition will be performed from the vessel EM Leader and is expected to commence in early September.
Roar Bekker, EMGS chief executive officer, said: "This is a significant contract win for us as it is our first major project for this customer, which is one of the world's leading integrated energy companies.
"We look forward to developing this customer relationship and delivering high-quality 3D EM data that will help de-risk hydrocarbon prospects in an exciting area."
