Petrobras fixes OSRVs
Contracts, Tenders and Rates - August 6, 2012
Seabrokers reports that Petrobras has awarded four long term oil spill recovery vessel (OSRV) contracts to Norway-based Vega Offshore, thereby closing the OSRV 750 A and B.
The four 5,000 bhp anchor handlers that will fulfil the contracts are currently under construction but have been named as Vega Inruda, Vega Juniz, Vega Emtoli and Vega Jaanca.
The first of the DP 1 vessels is expected to be delivered in August and should be working off Brazil by the end of this year, with the rest of the vessels delivering progressively every few months.
Seabrokers said all should be working for Petrobras in Brazilian waters by the third quarter of 2013.
