Swire Pacific Offshore takes delivery of turbine installer

Swire Pacific Offshore Operations (Pte) Ltd (SPO), the parent company of Swire Blue Ocean A/S, took delivery on Friday 27th July of Pacific Orca, which it describes as the world's largest windfarm installation vessel (WIV). The vessel was built by Samsung Heavy Industries (SHI).
The vessel will be deployed to provide service for the Danish utility company DONG Energy.
The vessel's particulars include a length of 161m, a breadth of 49m and a depth of 10.4m. The vessel can carry 12 3.6 MW wind turbine generators.
Pacific Orca can install offshore wind foundations and WTGs in ocean depths of up to 60m.
