New bridge concept from Havyard
Equipment & Technology - July 26, 2012
Havyard Group in Norway has developed a new, more functional bridge concept.
The first example of the new bridge will be fitted on the Havyard 832 L vessel Vestland Mira.
Svein Olav Tørresdal, project manager at Havyard Power & Systems, said: the concept had been given the name 'Havyard Concept Bridge.'
The development was undertaken in close cooperation with Nomek in Stryn, Norway.
"We have spent one year developing this system and now we are finally there," said Mr Tørresdal. "The bridge is all about a more open, more secure and more functional bridge concept where you have everything within reach, without having to move around much in order to go from one operation to the next."
