Kleven Maritime to build LNG-powered PSV for Remøy Shipping

Kleven Maritime has signed a contract with Remøy Shipping for the delivery of a LNG-powered PSV.
The vessel is to be built at Kleven Maritime’s Kleven Verft shipyard. The contract is worth around NKr 400 million. The contract also includes an option for a further vessel of the same type.
Statoil recently awarded contracts for seven PSV newbuilds to be used on the Norwegian continental shelf. Three of the vessels are to be built by Kleven Maritime.
On 3 July Atlantic Offshore announced that they had chosen Kleven Maritime’s Myklebust Verft to build two vessels for which they have signed a six year contract with Statoil.
Now, Remøy Shipping has chosen Kleven Verft to build their new vessel.
The vessel is of the VS 4412 DF PSV type from Wärtsila Ship Design Norway.
Kleven Maritime now has 14 vessels in its orderbook, with a total value of NKr 6.7 billion.
