New CEO at K Line Offshore

The Board of K Line Offshore has announced the appointment of Tomoyuki Okawa as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the company.

Mr Okawa took up his position as CEO on 01 July 2012 and replaces Katsue Yoshida, who has held the CEO position for the last three years.

Mr Okawa joined Kawasaki Kisen Kaisha Ltd ("K" Line) in 1983, starting in the liner division, before moving to the energy sector in 1992, working in the tanker and LNG group of the company.

In 2008 he moved to the energy transportation business development group, serving as General Manager. This division was the division responsible the development of the offshore business within "K" Line Group, including the incorporation of K Line Offshore AS.

Mr Okawa’s previous position at "K" Line Tokyo was General Manager of the tanker group, a position he held for two years.
