Dolphin wins 3D seismic contract with Statoil in Tanzania

Dolphin Geophysical has received a Letter of Intent from Statoil for the acquisition of a 5,500km2 survey offshore Tanzania.
The survey will be acquired by one of the company's high capacity 3D seismic vessels, commencing in the fourth quarter of 2012.
The company's CEO, Atle Jacobsen, said: "This marks Dolphin’s entry into the East African market, and will secure backlog for the vessel into the first quarter of 2013.
"We also look forward to commencing our first large project with Statoil outside Norway."
