Reef Subsea awarded contract for inter-array cable installation

Reef Subsea's subsidiary Reef Subsea Power & Umbilical Ltd has been awarded a major contract with Gwynt y Môr Offshore Windfarm Limited.
The contract is worth approximately £40m and will see Reef Subsea Power & Umbilical assist with engineering, project management, ROV and survey operations linked to the installation and burial of all infield array cables for the Gwynt y Môr offshore windfarm, which is located 13 kilometres off the North Wales coast in Liverpool Bay.
Reef Subsea Power & Umbilical has been tasked with installing and burying 161 infield inter-array cables. The workscope also covers connection to two offshore sub‐stations.
For the project Reef Subsea Power & Umbilical will provide project management, ROV, survey and engineering services, and will deploy one of its installation and burial spreads, which will be on contract throughout 2013.
