Statoil confirms new contracts

Fearnley Offshore Supply reports that Statoil in Norway has confirmed the award of NKr 3.5billion in contracts for charter of seven newbuild PSVs for its operations on the Norwegian Continental Shelf.
Farstad Shipping and Atlantic Offshore have both been awarded 6 years firm + 3 x 1 year contracts and Troms Offshore, Simon Møkster Rederi and Remøy Shipping have all been awarded 3 years firm + 3 x 1 year options.
Day rates are believed to be in the range of NKr 160-170,000.
All the vessels are expected to be delivered by the end of 2014.
