Norwegian subsea company Ocean Installer has opened a UK office in Aberdeen, Scotland.

"We are very pleased that less than one and a half years after Ocean Installer was established, we are at a place where the only natural development is to open a second office. This is in line with our long-term growth strategy and illustrates that we are progressing at a very good pace," said Steinar Riise, CEO of Ocean Installer.

The office, originally named 'Innovation House' and now renamed 'Ocean Installer House', is situated in the Aberdeen Energy and Innovation Park.

Ocean Installer aims to recruit 20-30 people to the Aberdeen office in 2012 and estimates that about 100 people will be employed by its UK division by the end of 2013.

Ocean Installer’s corporate headquarters remain in Stavanger, Norway. Financial operations will be concentrated in the Aberdeen office. Martin Sisley is the Managing Director of Ocean Installer in the UK.
