BLRT Grupp & BMT set to cooperate on future vessel designs

BLRT Marketex, a subsidiary of BLRT Grupp, and BMT Nigel Gee Ltd (BMT), a subsidiary of BMT Group Ltd, have signed an agreement whereby BMT will provide vessel designs to BLRT Marketex.
The relationship has provided immediate success with an outline agreement announced today for BLRT Marketex to construct four new 24m Windfarm Support Vessels (WSVs) for the operator, Sure Wind Marine.
Sure Wind Marine, based in the North East of England, provides safe reliable and flexible offshore vessels for the renewables industry throughout Europe with all of the group’s vessels being built to DNV class to enable unrestricted operation in European waters. The new vessels are currently in the design stage and construction is expected to start later this year.
BLRT Marketex is a leading industrial company in Estonia offering advanced complex solutions from steel, stainless steel and aluminium for oil and gas, renewable energy, industrial and marine markets. Currently, it is building four 20m WSVs for Sure Wind.
BLRT Marketex belongs to one of the leading industrial holdings on the Baltic Sea, BLRT Grupp, which operates five shipyards including two in Tallinn, Estonia.
BMT has a well-established range of WSVs with eleven vessels currently in build in six different shipyards.
