Survivtec makes new appointment for offshore oil and gas market

    Company News // May 21, 2012

Survitec Group's UK services business has appointed Kevin Laing as its new Area Sales Manager to look after customers in the offshore oil and gas market in Aberdeen.

Based in Aberdeen, Mr Laing will initially use his in-depth market knowledge and extensive contacts in the industry to expand sales of Survitec's marine safety equipment and liferaft servicing packages. The company's products are widely used by offshore rigs and ship supply vessels.

Prior to joining Survitec, Kevin was with ATR Group in Aberdeen, a company that specialises in plant, lifting and tool rental to the offshore industry. He spent six years with ATR, most recently as Key Account Manager.

He began his career with the John Lewis Partnership where he rose to the position of Sales Manager. He went on to work for IT company Computacenter, one of Europe's leading independent providers of IT infrastructure services. It was while working in a sales support role with Computacenter that he got his first chance to develop important relationships with key customers in the offshore industry.
