    News // August 6, 2004
Solstad Offshore ASA in Norway in Switzerland, has ordered a large Offshore Construction Vessel (OCV) from Ulstein Verft AS in Norway.

The total investment is about US$100 million, and the vessel will be delivered from yard in January 2006.

SBM has chartered the vessel for eight years, and a minimum of 200 days per year, from 2006.

SBM also has an option to keep the vessel for the remaining days of each year and an option to keep the vessel for further 12 years after the firm period expires.

The vessel will be operated by Solstad, and will be the largest vessel in the Solstad-fleet.
