Chinese yard to build up to 10 UT 771 CDLs for US ownerYard News // March 26, 2012
Marine Log reports that China's COSCO (Guangdon) Shipyard Co Ltd is to build up to 10 Rolls-Royce UT 771 CDL PSVs for an as yet unnamed "American shipowner."
Marine Log said a stock exchange announcement says that shipbuilding contracts for four of the vessels became effective March 15 and are worth over US$105 million in total to the shipbuilder. Deliveries are set to start in early 2014.
Commencing March 15, 2013, the shipowner has options to declare up to another six contracts for the construction of identical UT 771 CDL PSVs, with a total value of over US$160 million.
