STX OSV confirms more details of Island Offshore order

STX OSV Holdings Limited has confirmed that it has been awarded a contract for the construction of a UT 737 CD subsea vessel for Island Offshore. The value of the contract amounts to more than NKr 500 million.
The overall length of the vessel will be 96m with a beam of 21m. The ship will be equipped with a 125 tonne offshore crane and ROV systems for operations up to 3,000m of water.
The new unit will be designed with a moonpool, accommodation for 60 persons and
according to NOFO standards for oil spill response.
Delivery from STX OSV Brevik in Norway is schedule for the first quarter of 2014. The hull of the vessel will be delivered from STX OSV Braila in Romania.
