PSV Saeborg chartered by DNOVessel & ROV News // October 6, 2011
September saw the naming of P/F Supply’s latest PSV Saeborg at Torshavn in the Faroe Islands.
Seabrokers reports that the Havyard 832L PSV was built in Havyard, Leirvik, Norway and features Clean Design Class, Oil-Rec and DP II.
Saeborg has four MTU 12V4000M33S (1,560 bkW) main engines with NOx reducing catalyst systems, two main azimuthing thrusters of 1,600kW each and two Brunvoll 880kW bow thrusters, providing plenty of power, thrust and manoeuveribility.
She also meets the regulations for NMD 200 survivors for standby rescue, as well as the NOFO 2009 regulations.
Other details include a LOA of 86m, 17.6m breadth moulded, a cargo deck area of 901m2 and accommodation for 24 persons. The vessel also has extensive underdeck capacity, including 175m3 capacity for methanol.
Det Norske Oljeselskap (DNO) have taken the Saeborg on term charter for four wells. The contract to support Maersk Guardian begins in October 2011
