Omni Marissa acquires Nam Cheong newbuild

    Vessel & ROV News // September 6, 2011

Omni Marissa in Malaysia has acquired a vessel under construction for Nam Cheong in a MYR 41.4 million deal.

Seabrokers reports that the 71 tonnes bollard pull anchor handler is being built in China at one of Nam Cheong’s three subcontracted yards.

This follows a MYR 113 million deal in July to sell three similar sized units to Sentinel Marine.

These vessels are part of a series of nine that are being built by Nam Cheong before finding buyers.
