    Yard News // July 18, 2011

Shipyard De Hoop in The Netherlands has secured a contract from cable lay company Global Marine Systems, which has ordered a Single Block Accomodation Barge (SBBA) for 60 persons.

The accomodation block will be completely self-sustaining with its own generators and watermakers.

The four deck accomodation will contain offices, galley, a dayroom, messroom and single and two person cabins.

Delivery is scheduled for January 2012 when the block will be placed on the barge Smit Anambas, which is being converted into a cable lay vessel.
