Ashtead Technology, a leading asset rental business supplying specialist equipment to the offshore subsea oil and gas sector and the environmental consulting, non-destructive testing and remote-visual inspection industries has appointed Chris Braithwaite as Non Executive Chairman of the Group.
Mr Braithwaite has over 25 years of experience in the oil and gas sector, and was most recently Chief Operating Officer of Wellstream Holdings plc having overseen its IPO from private equity ownership in 2007. An engineer, he has also worked with ABB, Halliburton/Brown & Root and Transfield.
Ashtead Technology’s Chief Executive, Graham Philip, commented: “The Board is excited to appoint Chris to help accelerate the delivery of our ambitious growth plans.
"He has a strong record of delivering excellence in subsea engineering services businesses, and his experience of profitable international expansion will be of great benefit to the management team.”
