Osiris Marine invests in new technology

    Company News // May 19, 2011

Osiris Marine Services, one of the UK’s leading subsea engineering and commercial diving companies, has invested £380,000 in bespoke equipment that will launch the business into the next stage of its growth plans.

Osiris Marine Services commissioned the build of a bespoke LARS system, designed to specific requirements; the launch recovery system comes in at £150,000.

Osiris also invested in a new dive spread, comprising a recompression chamber worth £114,000 and dive control which was £96,000.

The firm are also investing £20,000 in new equipment that is being developed on site at its head office.

The new equipment means Osiris Marine Services can work on projects that are further offshore, and most importantly on more demanding projects off dynamically positioned vessels.

Aiden West, Managing Director of Osiris Marine Services said: “This investment will allow Osiris Marine Services to take on more complex, environmentally challenging projects and investing in technology is key to meeting the challenges of larger projects.

"We are now planning to grow and expand the business; the equipment investment and new head office really do demonstrate our dedication to the offshore windfarm industry.”

The investment follows the recent announcement that Osiris Marine Services will invest £200,000 in a new headquarters at Crossings Business Park in Skipton, North Yorkshire.
