    Company News // May 19, 2011

As a result of the fast pace of growth at the company, ocean towage and heavy transport specialist ALP Maritime has announced the addition of three new employees.

Captain Ate Polee has joined ALP's operational department. He served for more than 20 years on board of several ocean going tugs in the Smit/SmitWijs/Svitzer Ocean Towage fleet, since 2003 as a master.

Annette van Ketel has joined the company's commercial department. Before joining ALP Maritime she worked for about a year with one of the company's principals, Fukada Salvage in Japan. She speaks and writes Japanese.

Arjan van der Merwe joined ALP Maritime in mid-April as Sales & Marketing Manager. He worked for more than three years for IHC Hydrohammer in Singapore, part of the IHC Merwede Group, where he was responsible for the management of the branch and sales. He has an extensive business network in the offshore industry in that area.
