Chinese yard names FPSO

Fairplay (www.fairplay.co.uk) reports that Chinese shipbuilder Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipyard has named and delivered the Hai Yang Shi You 113, a 170,000dwt FPSO which will be deployed in the Bohai oil field.At 287.4m long, 51m wide and with a depth of 20.6m, the FPSO can store1 million barrels of oil.
Fairplay said the entire process from hull structure to completion tookjust 15 months, the shortest time in FPSO construction history in China.
