    Technip/FELS Setal awarded P-51 contract by Petrobras

    A Technip/Fels Setal consortium has been awarded a contract by Petrobras worth approximately US$639 million for the engineering and construction of the P-51 semi-submersible production platform - the sister unit to the P-52 platform awarded late last year to the same consortium.

    Delivery of the floating production unit to be deployed is due in 47 months from contract award.

    The project management and procurement activities for the topsides will be shared (25/75 per cent) between Technip and Fels Setal.Technip, through its fully-owned subsidiary Technip Engenharia, based in Rio de Janeiro, will be responsible for the detailed engineering of the topsides.

    Fels Setal will fabricate the main parts of the hull in Brazil.
