SB Submarine Systems (SBSS) in China has announced that in January the DP cable ship Fu Hai and ROV Sea Lion successfully executed post-lay inspection for 500kV subsea power cable in Qiongzhou Strait in South China on behalf of China Southern Power Grid.
SBSS used the TSS350 cable detection system on the ROV for the project. The TSS350 is able to detect cables buried 10m under the seabed.
China Southern Power Grid (CSG) is a large state-owned power company. Its business covers five provinces in Southern China including Guangdong, Guangxin, Yunnan, Guizhou and Hainan.
