    News // December 28, 2010

In a recent report the US Geological Survey has estimated that the four basins in the Caspian Sea, North Caspian, South Caspian, Middle Caspian and North Ustyurt, contain 19.6 billion bbls of oil, 243 tcf of natural gas, and 9.3 billion bbls of natural gas liquids.

The combined area of the four basins covers some 1.315million km2. The estimates are based on commercial data, production records and published geologic information and represent mean volumes of technically recoverable, conventional, undiscovered resources.
