    News // May 28, 2004
Clough's joint venture (JV) of its fully owned Offshore Division and majority owned Indonesian company, PT Petrosea has been awarded the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract by operator BP West Java for the APN Field Development located in the West Java Sea, in Indonesia. The total contract value is in the order of US$65 million.

The APN Field Development is located approximately 100km North-East of Jakarta off the coast of Java in water depths ranging from 15-45m. Completion of the works is planned for the first quarter of 2005 so as to supply gas to meet the energy needs of West Java.

The project consists of the installation of three monopod platforms that are linked by 28km of 24in diameter infield pipeline. The new facilities are tied into an existing facility 50km away via a 24in diameter trunk line. Modifications to the existing facilities are required to allow the integration of the gas into the system.

The project team will be based in Petrosea's office in Jakarta and will utilise as much Indonesian content as possible in the execution of the project."This award continues to highlight the type of project Clough can undertake overseas for premier clients such as BP," David Singleton, CEO of Clough Limited, said today.

Mike Anderson, President Director of Petrosea commented, "This project demonstrates that the synergies of the divisions within Clough can be utilised to obtain a multi-disciplined project team that can benefit all stakeholders."press release
