PSS wins contract for Triton XLR ROVVessel & ROV News // November 26, 2010
Perry Slingsby Systems (PSS) has been contracted by the Taiwan Ocean Research Institute of National Applied Research Laboratories (TORI) for the supply of a Triton XLR ROV system modified to meet TORI's specific requirements.
The contract includes the supply a 3,000m rated Triton XLR system which will be equipped with ICE net controls, a specific package of high]specification exploration and research sensors as well as a very high payload capability to support the TORI provided scientific tool sled.
PSS, now part of Forum Energy Technologies (FET) based in Houston Texas, will provide interface and installation services from its Asia Pacific base in Singapore.
As part of the integrated supply contract, PSS will also provide a comprehensive training program for the TORI engineers and scientists.
Bruce Lokay, Asia Pacific regional director said: "This is a very significant contract for PSS as it represents the second deepwater research ROV system sold into the Asia Pacific region in just six months."
