    Maersk takes delivery of Asserter

    Vessel & ROV News // May 17, 2004
Maersk has taken delivery of its latest newbuild, the A Class AHTS Maersk Asserter.

Built at A P Moller's Stralsund yard in Germany, the 282 tonne bollard pull, DP II vessel picked up it's first charter with Swedish charterer Lundin.

The vessel is set to continue to trade the spot market in the North Sea for the foreseeable future.

Maersk's fleet is set to expand to the tune of one final A Class AHTS when the last vessel in the A Class series, the Maersk Advancer, is set to deliver in June this year from the same yard, Seabrokers reported recently.
