    Aker Brattvaag to build first ST-216 for Ugelstad

    Skipsaksjeselskapet S Ugelstad in Oslo, Norway, has awarded a contract to Aker Brattvaag for the construction of a ST-216-L PSV designed by Skipsteknisk AS of Ålesund.

    This is a completely new and modern design, with great emphasis on speed and seakeeping performances in addition to safety and comfort for the crew. The vessel will be equipped according to Comf-V class, clean class, NAUT-OSV, DynPos AUTR class and Ice C.

    The vessel will also come equipped according to all the new demands connected to security for the crew, such as automatic identification system (AIS), system forwater fog firefighting in machine room, and Voyage Data Recorder (VDR).

    Aker Tulcea in Romania will build the hull, with the outfitting to be done byBrattvaag Skipsverft.
