Groupe Bourbon has confirmed that, following the abduction of three crew members during an attack on Bourbon Alexandre the night of 21/22 September 2010 whilst the vessel was off the Nigerian coast, the three men, who were liberated on 10 November, have now returned safely to France.
Jacques de Chateauvieux, Chairman and CEO of BOURBON, said: "We are all very pleased that this ordeal is over. Our three colleagues will now be able to spend time with their families. I would like to thank all Bourbon employees for their support and their commitment. I would like to acknowledge as well the remarkable work of the French Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs, the Nigerian government and the local authorities."
