Solstad Offshore takes delivery of Normand PacificVessel & ROV News // November 11, 2010
Solstad Offshore in Skudeneshavn, Norway has taken delivery of the offshore construction vessel Normand Pacific. The vessel was built by Bergen Group at Fosen in Norway.
Normand Pacific is a ST-257 design, developed by Skipsteknisk. The vessel was originally ordered as a 24-man SAT dive vessel, but at an early stage Solstad decided to redesign the vessel as an OCV.
This is the first vessel of Skipsteknisk design for Solstad Offshore.
Normand Pacific has main dimensions 122 x 23m and is fitted with a 200 tonne and a 100 tonne AHC offshore crane, ROV hangar, moonpool and a helicopter deck, and has accommodation for 120.
The naming ceremony took place in Bergen in October and the vessel was handed over to Solstad on 5 November.
