Alnmaritec, the specialist boatbuilding company based in Northumberland in the UK, has announced that it has achieved formal accreditation of its Environmental Management system to the internationally recognised ISO 14001:2004 standard.
The accreditation was given by Lloyd’s Register Quality Assurance (LRQA) after an 18 month process of system development and audits.
LRQA stated: "We would like to congratulate your company on successfully achieving approval to ISO 14001:2004."
Commenting further Alnmaritec Managing Director Chris Millman said: "We are absolutely delighted to have achieved this accreditation of our environmental management system; it is very important for us as a company to be able to demonstrate that our systems comply with the very highest standards."
"We have already been accredited to ISO 9001:2008 standards for our Quality Management system and OHSAS 18001:2007 for our Safety Management System and in now having achieved accreditation of our Environmental Management System to ISO 14001:2004 I am proud to say that this puts us amongst only a very small number of SME companies to be accredited to all three standards."
