The UI 2000 conference hosted an array of papers that examined the best technologies and practices of today, and looked at prospective industry trends and markets worldwide. The coming conference is expected to carry this diversity to the next level, providing the blueprint for a bold future in the underwater industry.
"Underwater Intervention has become an international melting pot of technologies from related industries," said Jerry Gauthier, conference Co-Chairman.
"Whether a company operates globally or not, this international conference provides a forum for development of relationships and an understanding of mutual concerns that provides a competitive edge in the marketplace."
Technical presentation topics at UI 2001 will include combined ROV, diver, and submersible operations; submarine cable installation and maintenance; platform, pipeline, and production system installation and maintenance; commercialisation of AUVs; inshore diving and ROV utilisation; contaminated diving; bridge inspections; search and salvage; safety, certification, and insurance; and industry trends.
